The spaces in and around our homes give us a feeling. My favorite spaces are welcoming, interesting and comfortable. A room can be formal or casual but the feeling you hopefully get when you enter that space is that you would like to stay in it. You can see yourself in that area with friends and family, or curled up with a cup of coffee and a good book. Regardless of the function of a space it should be welcoming.
